Drug distribution stings net six arrests across three counties

East Central Alabama – Law Enforcement in three East Central Alabama counties have arrested six people in connection with illegal drug distribution operations.

The Talladega County Drug Task Force got things started with the Wednesday arrest of 37-year-old Brandon Scott McDonald, who was charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. A bit later, 32-year-old Christopher Drake Kelly was charged by the elite drug unit on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance known as Spice, as well as Manufacturing a Destructive Device, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

In neighboring Tallapoosa County, the Sheriff’s Department arrested 46-year-old Jeanie Ann Joiner. She was charged with of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, along with two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

And on Thursday morning three Pell City men were arrested on a total of six counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. 39-year-old Johnathan Woods was hit with three of those counts. 43-year-old Dewayne Sanders was hit with charges on two counts, and 25-year-old Tylerr Truss faces one count.
