Hoover – A Birmingham woman wanted in connection with vehicle burglaries was arrested at a Hoover shopping center, the site of three earlier break-ins.
While investigating the three burglaries at a shopping center in the 1600 block of Montgomery Highway in September, investigators identified 26-year-old Erica Tashae Owens and obtained arrest warrants.
Since then, police also learned Ownes was wanted by agencies in Jefferson, Shelby and St. Clair counties in connection with similar crimes. The department said all five vehicles Owens is accused of entering in Hoover were unlocked and urged residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables and weapons.
