Calera – A U.S. Marshals Service task force arrested a rape suspect in unincorporated Shelby County near Calera on Monday morning.
According to the Calera Police Department, its criminal investigations division investigated the case with assistance from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. ALPR tag reader camera technology helped find the juvenile victim and the suspect, Aiden Jerry Carter, who has been charged with possession of child pornography, second-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree rape.
