Springville – Springville police and Norfolk Southern railroad officials have provided an update in regards to the train derailment that happened last week.
While repair work continues on the affected tracks, trains traveling through the city will be moving at a reduced rate of speed as repair work to the tracks is still being completed in Springville, as well as the scene of another derailment in Maplesville on Thursday, October 1st, also involving a Norfolk Southern train.
Springville police said, “We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as Norfolk Southern continues working to complete these repairs. Please plan accordingly and, as always, use caution around all railroad crossings.”
