Goodwater – Earlier this week, the Coosa County Sheriff’s Department arrested seven suspects in a series of drug busts in Goodwater, also revealing that another suspect was the subject of a manhunt. That suspect was apprehended on Thursday, September 17th.
44-year-old Beniah Bradford of Goodwater was arrested on Thursday on charges of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree; Possession of a Controlled Substance( Crack Cocaine); Possession of a Controlled Substance(Methamphetamine); Use or Possess With Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia.
This arrest is part of an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by deputies and investigators with the Clay-Coosa Narcotics Task Force formed this past spring. With more than a dozen arrests earlier this summer in Clay County, attention turned to the drug use and distribution in Coosa County.
