Auburn – The Auburn Tiers have extended the deal that will keep a very special quarterback who will never see the field in any game. In the crazy world of the NIL era, there’s a lot of situations that raise eyebrows for their odd nature. This is NOT one of those.
The terms weren’t released on the deal with Monarc Seeker, but he’s a special talent, about as flawless a quarterback you’ll ever meet. He can throw the ball at a specific speed, at a specific location on the field, and even at a specific spot on the player’s body. Every. Single. Play. Never misses an assignment.
But he’s not eligible to play in a game and never will be. You see, Monarc Seeker is a robot, a real honest-to-goodness robot quarterback. With the existing need for endless game-like passes, punts and kicks, Seeker generates unlimited practice opportunities and enables players to get the reps they need on offense, defense and special teams. Seeker is the world’s first technology that allows footballs to be thrown to receivers without the help of someone continually feeding the machine, and the machine can track athletes’ positions on the field with pinpoint accuracy, placing the ball where it’s supposed to be, no matter what adjustment recivers make.
