Auburn – The qualification period is complete and the field is set for the 2026 Auburn municipal election. The current City Council will consider a resolution declaring their election at its July 7 meeting.The elecyion is scheduled for August 25th.
Six positions have been filled as candidates face no opposition and are deemed elected by Alabama state law. Connie Taylor (Ward 1), Kirsten Milenkovitch (Ward 2), Beth Witten (Ward 3), Tyler Adams (Ward 4), Bob Parsons (Ward 6), and Max Coblentz (Ward 7) did not have any challengers qualify for municipal elections by the time the qualifying period ended.
In the contested races:
Auburn Mayor Ron Anders Jr. will face Robert Wilkins.
Ward 5 councilman, Sonny Moreman, will face Toshiro Jackson and Michael “Mike” Menese.
Ward 8 councilman, Tommy Dawson, will face Augustus Ayers.
