Munford – The Munford community will celebrate Independence Day this Saturday, July 4th with a full day of patriotic activities, including a morning car show and the town’s first ever 4th of July parade.
Hosted by Choccolocco Car Show & Cruise-In, the festivities begin with the Munford Freedom Fest Car Show at the Munford Walking Track, located at 50 Railroad Street, starting with registration at 8:00 a.m., judging at 9:00 a.m., and awards presented at 11:00 a.m.
After the car show, the community is invited to participate in Munford’s 1st Annual 4th of July Parade, with staging for the parade beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Munford Baptist Church, for a Noon start for the parade. Live music and fireworks are listed as activities to follow the parade.
The goal of the celebration is to bring the community together to honor Independence Day through a hometown parade, community pride, and patriotic activities. Any donations collected will benefit Munford Veterans Park.
