Sylacauga – Sylacauga’s new Courtside Park is almost complete and will be ready for opening on Friday, May 8th. Join Sylacauga Parks and Recreation for their ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Pelican’s Snoballs will be there with sweet treats for everyone who attends. The basketball and pickleball courts will be ready for play after the ribbon cutting.
Courtside Park consists of eight fenced pickleball courts, a fenced basketball court, pavilion with seating, filtered water station, restrooms, and a green space. The park will be open for public use on Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The pavilion can be rented for birthday parties and the pickleball courts can be rented for tournaments.
