Sylacauga – National Day of Prayer has been recognized in the United States constitution for more than 70 years on the first Thursday in the month of May. The day, however, has been called on by lawmakers since the 1770s. If you are looking to join in prayer with many throughout the community, you will have that opportunity in the city of Sylacauga.
The Sylacauga area community will gather around our flag at the Sylacauga City Hall to pray for our city, state, and nation at Noon on Thursday, May 7th. The event is sponsored by the Coosa Valley Ministerial Association.
