Auburn – The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has begun a major resurfacing project on parts of Shug Jordan Parkway that is expected to take about five months.
The ALDOT project, which began this week, will take place on SR-14 from the Macon County line to SR-147 (Shug Jordan Parkway). The $4.5 million project is expected to be completed in fall of 2026. It will include resurfacing and traffic striping.
Drivers should anticipate lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the construction zone.
