Shelby County – Aryan Devonte Saye from Phenix City, Ala. was arrested and charged with felony Attempt to Elude, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Susbtance, and 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of Marijuana following a high speed chase that started in Pelham.
A Pelham officer attempted to stop a vehicle that was traveling 117mph on I-65 southbound near mile marker 242. The vehicle’s tires were spiked near mile marker 213 and came to a stop before Saye was taken into custody.
Pelham Police. Calera Police, Jemison Police, Clanton Police, Chilton County law enforcement, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency all assisted in the incident.
