Opelika – Opelika police report that a Friday (9/4) crash between a motorcycle and an SUV in Opelika has left the motorcyclist dead.
Thehe victim has been identitified as a 66-year-old man from Columbus, GA. Just before 2:15 p.m. on Friday, an officer on 2nd Avenue observed the crash. The motorcyclist, unresponsive in the grass near the street, was taken to East Alabama Medical Center where he died. His name hasn’t yet been released.
The driver and passenger of the SUV were treated for minor injuries at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Opelika Police Department.
