Leeds – Leeds City Schools say their misconduct investigation found no illegal, unethical or unprofessional conduct, but it still led to the resignation of an assistant principal.
In a statement to the school community, Superintendent John J. Moore said that a conversation with Kyle Winningham led to the assistant principal’s resignation. An allegation of misconduct came after Winningham was promoted. The school district did not describe the nature of the allegation or identify when it was made, who made it or what prompted the investigation, and it concluded that no illegal, unethical, or unprofessional conduct had taken place.
Winningham issued his own separate statement announcing his resignation and denying wrongdoing, adding that his decision to resign should not be interpreted as an admission of guilt of any wrongdoing.
