Sylacauga – The Maxye Veazey Senior Center event, “Senior Extravaganza” attracted a huge crowd of visitors from senior groups across the region – two from Sylacauga, plus Childersburg, Oak Grove, Talladega Springs, several from Coosa County, and plenty of individuals.
With the theme “Living Life in Full Color,” there were also brightly-colored themed group dress that filled the gym of the J Craig Smith Community Center with a rainbow of color for the many activities.
Baila Fitness kicked off the Color Party Kick-off, getting the blood flowing. And while out of their seats, many spent quality time with senior resource vendors assembled. There was Bingo with Cici, color rally performances led by Dama Hale before lunch was served.
Many standout seniors were recognized for their community contributions during the afternoon Senior Spotlights, before ending on a high festive note with the Rainbow Ride. All in all, it was a great day of fun, entertainment, and valuable information from the Maxye Veazey Senior Center.
