St Clair County – The St. Clair County Coroner’s Office has identified a 55-year-old Jemison man as the victim of a drowning Saturday at Logan Martin Lake.
55-year-old Jody Stephen Landrum was visiting relatives in the area when the drowning occurred.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies reported to the scene of a drowning at Coosa Island on Logan Martin Lake. Landrum’s body was located just after 1:30 p.m..
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Patrol Division also assisted with the incident, along with Pell City Fire, Pell City Police, New London Volunteer Fire and Rescue, and the Childersburg Rescue Squad.
