West Blocton – According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a Shelby County man was killed in a crash Sunday morning in Bibb County.
28-year-old Brett Whitley, of Maylene in Shelby County, was fatally injured when his Toyota Tundra left the road, hit several trees, and overturned. The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. Sunday on County Road 24 about two miles east of West Blocton.
Whitley, who allegedly was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the pickup truck and died at the scene.
