Auburn – 28-year-old Michael Alexander Sherrill of Auburn, was originally arrested June 25th, 2026, on a charge of assault second degree after he allegedly hit a pedestrian.
Since then, the 68-year-old male victim died from injuries sustained in the incident. As a result of continued investigation and the victim’s death, the charge against Sherrill has been upgraded to manslaughter.
Sherrill was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail, where he was held on a $25,000 bond.
