Springville Police ask for public’s help after Monday bank robbery

Springville – Local authorities are asking for the public’s help after they responded to an incident at PNC Bank location in the 6300 block of Highway 11 in Springville on Monday afternoon. Multiple law enforcement vehicles surrounded the bank building when a robbery was reported just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13th.

Springville Police Department vehicles and law enforcement personnel were staged near the entrance of the building. Investigators said a man wearing a motorcycle helmet, riding jacket and riding pants entered the bank, placed a handgun on the counter and demanded money from the cash drawer.

The suspect was said to have fled the scene on a motorcycle, traveling along Village Springs Road toward Clay with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Springville Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the FBI and local, state and federal law enforcement partners.

They ask anyone who witnessed the suspect or the motorcycle in the area before or after the robbery, or who has information that could assist investigators, to contact the Springville Police Department at (205) 467-2701.
