Sylacauga Council struck another hopeful stray dog solution from the meeting agenda

Sylacauga – A possible solution to a stray dog problem was removed from this week’s City Council agenda in Sylacauga.

The latest proposal – a partnership with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society – was discussed during the pre-meeting work session but ultimately removed from the meeting agenda. The City has been working with the GBHS while it looks for a long term solution.

Mayor Matt Hubbard has said that he would like to see the county get involved, possibly creating an animal shelter by the county jail and federal prison in Talladega.

  1. Great idea to put one by the prison and county jail. Allow the prisoners to go inside and walk and feed the dogs. It would give them something to do and I just bet they would love that!!
