Riverside – Rusty Jessup, after five terms as mayor of Riverside, now represents the organization that more than 450 member cities rely upon for essential resources. The Alabama League of Municipalities recognized him as the organization’s new president during its annual conference in late April.
Jessup completed all the certifications required to reach the League’s top tier of continuing education for municipal officials and earned the status of a Certified Municipal Official Emeritus in the League. He served as the ALM Vice President after a vote from the membership in 2025, before moving up to the President’s position for 2026.
