
Hoover – A Shelby County woman is facing charges related to the theft of more than $20,000 from a financial institution in Hoover. Back in February, Hoover’s Financial Crimes Unit started investigating the woman who was accused of passing fraudulent bank notes.
She has been identified as Symone Reed. Warrants were obtained, and Reed with five counts of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and first-degree theft of property. Reed was arrested on the charges on April 22nd, and was released from the Shelby County Jail on April 23rd on $60,000 bond.
