The Maxye Veazey Senior Center gathered 20 important resource providers for the region’s senior community this past Thursday, combining important one-on-one interaction with providers with fun activities and door prizes. The range of vendor information ranged from Medicare and Medicaid, to home health care, to health and fitness,to financial services, to food and healthcare resources, and more.
And the available help can still be as close as a visit to the senior center itself, explained Center Director Lakeisha Maxwell, “Our roster for the Senior Resouce Expo is something we work to keep current for those who frequent our many programs. We have a lot of fun, but ongoing efforts to serve our seniors with things that matter most to their golden years is even more important.”
