SYLACAUGA, Ala – When Sylacauga author, Deliverance Hope readied her “Maggie Mae & Me ~ Trilogy 1” for it’s Kindle debut in late March, she had no idea what would happen next – Her manuscript spent its debut week as the #1 New Release among Kindle offerings in their Miracles & Spirituality category.

The story series is set in the early 60s South, Childersburg, Alabama to be specific, when a “little man” captures your heart and takes you by the hand on his journey to overcome neglect and abuse, as he battles to keep his faith.
Identified only as “Me” throughout, he is the caregiver, protector, and guide for his little sister, 5-year-old Maggie Mae. The problem is, he’s not even 8-years-old himself. It’s more than a “coming of age” story-line, it’s a journey of endurance, identity, and awakening.
At the two-week mark, the title ranked Top 50 in three separate “Spirituality” genre categories, from among tens of thousands of inspirational books. “Maggie Mae & Me ~ Trilogy 1” will be followed by another three-story set in late May, and others later in 2026.
