
Dadeville – Five defendants in the 2023 mass shooting in Dadeville were sentenced recently after agreeing to plea deals.
Willie Brown Jr, Wilson Hill, Travis McCullough, Tyreese McCullough, and Sherman Peters all appeared in court Friday and pleaded guilty to three counts of reckless murder, and 24 counts of assault, for which the defendants received a split sentence with five years to serve in prison and 15 years probation on the reckless murder charges.
A sixth suspect in the case previously received youthful offender status. As a result, their court records are sealed.
The shooting, which happened at a birthday party, resulted in the deaths of four people: Phil Dowdell, Marsiah Collins, Shaunkivia “Keke” Smith, and Corbin Holston. Dozens of others were injured.
