Four arrested in Dadeville drug bust

Dadeville – Four Dadeville residents have been charged in a drug bust, according to the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office, who say that narcotics with a street value of more than $8,000 are now off the streets..

On Friday (3/20), the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Alexander City SRG team, executed a search warrant on Horseshoe Bend Road in Dadeville. During the search, agents say they seized approximately 11.25oz of Methamphetamine, 3g of Marijuana, 1oz of GHB, 17 unknown pills, several items used in the use and trafficking of narcotics. They also seized $997 in cash, a 243 rifle, a pickup truck and a car.

Charged were:

Crystal Mary Lackey, 39, of Dadeville was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2 Counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, 2 Counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

David Lamar Newsome, 52, of Dadeville was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, 3 Counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, 2 Counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Lonnie Dwayne. Davis, 49, of Dadeville was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Christopher E. Sward, 43, of Dadeville was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
