A low water pressure advisory issued in Talladega over the weekend has been resolved

Talladega – Residents were asked over the weekend to avoid excessive water usage in Talladega, after the City issued a low water pressure advisory due to low pressure from an unidentified leak in the water distribution system. It took more than a full day, but water is back to its normal flow now.

The City of Talladega’s Water & Sewer Department worked hard to locate and repair the leak, announcing late Sunday morning, “The recent leaks in the city water system have been successfully repaired. Water levels have returned to normal, and the system is now operating at normal capacity.

The call to limit water use to essentials and to refrain from washing vehicles or pressure washing. Conserving water was, they said, an essential to maintaining a sufficient water supply for critical needs such as fire protection and emergency response, especially during the low pressure situation.
