Local Rescue Squads join a Walker County missing child search with an odd twist

JASPER, Ala. – It’s not unusual for the Childersburg Rescue Squad to join search efforts for missing people. They headed to Jasper in Walker County, along with the County Line Rescue Squad, Tallico Rescue, Central Alabama Canine, Munford Rescue Squad, and Cleburne Rescue Squad in the search for a missing child with an odd twist.

The missing child, Johnathan Everett Boley, is a 5-year-old boy is believed to be in danger after the child’s father was arrested in connection with a civilian search that was suspended over safety concerns after multiple explosive devices were found during a search of the father’s home. It latered resumed when the FBI determined that the 8 devices found across the street from the father’s property were not, in fact, explosive devices.

Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said Boley was believed to have been with a dog at the time of his disappearance. “Finding this dog could help us in finding the missing child,” said Smith.
