Moody – A Tennessee, woman was killed early Christmas morning after being struck by a vehicle on I-20 near Moody. State Troopers said the crash happened at approximately 4:46 a.m. near the 144-mile marker, less than one mile west of Moody.
Authorities identified the pedestrian as 51-year-old Tina M. Ottaway of Watertown, TN. Investigators said Ottaway was in the roadway when she was struck by a 2008 Cadillac SRX driven by 43-year-old Christopher J. Freeman of Elmore.
Ottaway was pronounced dead at the scene. Freeman was injured in the crash and was transported to UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.
